Here's a killer split 7" featuring a new song a piece from Austin, Texas based Portrayal Of Guilt and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma based Chat Pile.  Portrayal Of Guilt is a three piece band from Austin Texas who formed in 2016, from the looks of things.  Portrayal Of Guilt features members of Illustrations and play a brutal and vicious style of blackened hardcore, punk, screamo, and black metal within their sound.  Musically, Portrayal Of Guilt can be loosely compared to Majority Rule, Forensics, Orchid, Jesuit, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2016, Portrayal Of Guilt have released a self-titled 7" in May of 2017, a digital single titled Spiritual Cramp in October of 2017, a split 7" with Street Sects in March of 2018, a digital single titled Chamber Of Misery (Pt.1) in July of 2018, a full-length LP titled Let Pain Be Your Guide in November of 2018, a six song 12" titled Suffering Is A Gift in August of 2019, a split 7" with Soft Kill on September 4th, 2019, a split 7"with Slow Fire Pistol in February of 2020, and a nine song LP titled We Are Always in January of 2021.  On their side of the split, Portrayal Of Guilt offer up one song of ugly, vicious, and unsettling experimental hardcore, punk, screamo, black metal, and noise.  The next song comes courtesy of Chat Pile.  Chat Pile is a four piece band from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma who formed in 2019, from the looks of things.  Chat Pile play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, metal, and noise rock within their sound.  Musically, Chat Pile can be loosely compared to bands such as Breather Resist, Fight Amp, Settle Down City era Young Widows, Pigs, Kiss It Goodbye, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2019, Chat Pile have released a four song EP titled This Dungeon Earth in May of 2019 and a four song EP titled Remove Your Skin Please in November of 2019.  On their side of the split, Chat Pile offer up one track of killer hardcore, punk, metal, and noise rock.  Overall, this split 7" makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed.  This killer split was released via Closed Casket Activities and Run For Cover records on August 17th, 2021.  The split 7" can be purchased in five color variants directly through each band, through Run For Cover records, Closed Casket Activities, Evil Greed in Europe and will be released physically in March of 2022.
