Convulsif is a four piece band from VD, Switzerland who formed in 2013. Convulsif play an ominous and oppressive style of music that incorporates elements of post metal, doom, black metal, and noise within their sound. Musically, Convulsif can be loosely compared to bands such as Neurosis, Amenra, Nadja, Pyramids, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2013, Convulsif have released a five song EP titled CD3 in October of 2014, a two song live cassette in June of 2015, and an eight song LP titled IV in May of 2016. Extinct is the band's latest LP, which was released via Hummus records on October 23rd, 2020. On Extinct, Convulsif offer up six tracks of ominous and oppressive experimental post metal, doom, black metal, noise. Overall, Extinct makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
