Gloop is a three piece band from Frederick, Maryland who formed in 2016, from the looks of things. Gloop play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post punk, punk, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Gloop can be loosely compared to bands such as Ten Volt Shock, The Hex Machine, The Dazzling Killmen, USA Nails, Wire, Big Black, Arab On Radar, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2016, Gloop have released a five song EP titled Junk Drawer in January of 2017, an eight song EP titled The Tourist in June of 2018, and a ten song LP titled Smiling Lines in September of 2019. Crayon Sky is the band's latest LP, which was released via Grimoire records on August 20th, 2021. On Crayon Sky, Gloop offer up twelve tracks of tense, discordant, and completely unhinged sounding post punk, punk, and noise rock. Overall, Crayon Sky makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
