Parting is a four piece band from Williamston, Michigan who formed in 2020, from the looks of things. Parting features members of Empire!, Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate), Annbel, Dowsing, and Hawk & Son, so going on that alone, you know you're in for something truly special. Parting play a melodic and catchy as hell style of music that incorporates elements of punk, 90's influenced emo, and indie rock. Musically, Parting can be loosely compared to bands such as Knapsack, The Jealous Sound, Jets To Brazil, The Get Up Kids, The Promise Ring, and other like-minded bands. Unmake Me is the band's debut EP, which was released on cassette via Count Your Lucky Stars records on June 4th, 2021. On Unmake Me, Parting offer up seven tracks of melodic and catchy as hell sounding punk, emo, and indie rock. Overall, Unmake Me makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.
