Part Chimp is a four piece band from London, UK who formed in 2000. Part Chimp formed out of the ashes of Ligament and the band plays an ugly and dirty style of music that incorporates elements of punk, metal, grunge, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Part Chimp can be loosely compared to bands such as The Cows, Jesus Lizard, Melvins, Hammerhead, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2000, Part Chimp have released an eleven song LP titled I Am Come in July of 2005, a nine song LP titled Thriller in September of 2009, a two song EP titled You Decide/Big Bird in September of 2010, a seventeen song LP of live compilation of live songs titled Reduce To Clear in July of 2016, a nine song LP titled IV in April of 2017, a ten song LP titled Cheap Thriller in October of 2018, an eleven song LP of experimental recordings titled MUNCHROCKZZAMPLER in May of 2021, and a compilation of early demos titled Early Chimp in May of 2021. Drool is Part Chimp's latest full-length LP, which was released via Learning Curve and Wrong Speed records on June 4th, 2021. On Drool, Part Chimp offer up twelve tracks of ugly, dirty, and tripped out sounding punk, metal, grunge, and noise rock.
