3 FROM FINLAND

Came across all 3 of these bands over the last few weeks. All 3 from Finland and all 3 playing Boss HM2 Swedeath the way it's supposed to be played. Wormlord kinda reminds me of little more blackened version of Carcass' Swansong album.

Saasta may be my favorite of these 3 bands. More midpaced and more of driving rock sound. I can tell you that "The Entrencher" is my song of the year so far.

Funeral Home has actually been around for 15 years or so but just dropped their 1st full length in January of this year. They put the roll in death 'n roll.

The quartet deliver over 37 minutes of unrelenting aggression sung entirely in French. The band blends blast beat violence with crust punk's raw energy and black metal's atmospheric darkness. Tristis - Des Strebens Einzelner

Tristis out of Germany play blackened post-metal with atmospheric hardcore intensity. Des Strebens Einzelner released March 4, 2026 with six tracks of crushing emotional weight. The quartet - Jana on vocals, Vinni on bass, Erik on guitar, and Nils on drums - deliver over 22 minutes of dynamic extremity. The band blends black metal fury with post-hardcore's melodic depth, shifting between blast beat aggression and atmospheric builds. Lyrics alternate between German and English, adding another layer to their dark soundscapes.
