Eyecandy is a three piece band from Oxnard, California who formed in 2020, from the looks of things. Eyecandy play tense, discordant, and frenetic style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, post punk, no-wave, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Eyecandy can be very loosely compared to bands such as Twelve Volt Shock, Haymarket Riot, Drive Like Jehu, Multicult, Rites Of Spring, Sprain, Slint, Unwound, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2020, Eyecandy have released a five song EP titled Supernova in February of 2021. The Promontory is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released via The Ghost Is Clear records on August 20th, 2021. On The Promontory, Eyecandy offer up eleven tracks of tense, discordant, and frenetic sounding post hardcore, post punk, no-wave, and noise rock. Overall, The Promontory makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
