Reader is a four piece band from Seattle, Washington who formed in 2017, from the looks of things. Reader play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, post rock, math rock, alt. rock, and indie rock within their sound. Musically, Reader can be loosely compared to bands such as Jawbox, Burning Airlines, Sharks Keep Moving, and other like-minded bands. Engrams is the band's debut LP, which was released via Spartan records on August 16th, 2019. On Engrams, Reader offer up eight tracks of tense, moody, and sometimes discordant sounding post hardcore, post rock, math rock, alt. rock, and indie rock. Overall, Engrams makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
