UV-TV are a Queens NYC via Gainesville, Florida who formed in early 2014, from the looks of things. UV-TV play a killer style of music that melds elements of post punk and punk within their sound. Musically, UV-TV take cues from bands such as Brain F, Terrible Feelings, White Lung, as well as the darker sounds of post punk bands such as The Estranged or The Elsinores. Since forming in 2014, UV-TV have released a five song self-titled demo in March of 2015, a split with Sharktoys in November of 2015, an eleven song LP titled Glass in March of 2017, and a four song EP titled Go Away in August of 2017. Happy is the band's latest LP, which was released via Deranged records on July 19th, 2019. On Happy, UV-TV offer up nine tracks of somewhat melodic punk mixed with dark modern post punk. Overall, Happy makes for an awesome listen and UV-TV is an absolute must listen for fans of Brain F, Terrible Feelings, and The Estranged. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
