Coarse are a two piece band from New York, who formed in early 2018, from the looks of things. Coarse features members of Old Wounds and Capsize, so going on that alone, you know you're in for something truly special. Coarse play a devastatingly brutal, chaotic, and volatile style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, noisecore, grindcore, and metalcore within their sound. Musically, Coarse can be loosely compared to bands such as Botch, Coalesce, Deadguy, Kiss It Goodbye, Converge, Achilles, Engineer, Nora, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2018, Coarse have released a six song EP titled I in July of 2018, a digital single titled Peril in June of 2018, and a digital single titled In Peril in June of 2018. Cut and Preserved is the band's latest EP, which was released via 6131 records on August 23rd, 2019. On Cut And Preserved, Coarse offer up four remixes of songs featuring The Armed, Street Sects, and Hash Gordon. Overall, Cut And Preserved makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
