Dark Ages-Vapor LP (2015)

Country: USA
Genre: Hardcore, Punk
Label: Sorry State
Tracks: 10
Length: 17.0'

Dark Ages is a four piece hardcore band from Kansas City, Missouri who formed in 2009 or 2010, from the looks of things.  Dark Ages play a dark, raw, and stripped down style of 80's inspired hardcore.  Musically, Dark Ages can be said to be influenced by bands such as Poison Idea, Articles Of Faith, and Die Kreuzen.  Since their inception, Dark Ages have released two 7"s and a full-length LP titled Can America Survive?, which was released via Sorry State records back in 2011.  Vapor is Dark Ages' latest full-length LP, which is an effort that is four years in the making.  On their latest LP, Dark Ages have their stripped down 80's inspired hardcore down to a science.  Vapor features ten songs in about 17 minutes.  These ten songs are visceral, dynamic and chock full of interesting timing changes that keeps the album interesting throughout the entire listen.  Seriously if you're a fan of stripped down 80's inspired modern hardcore, then Vapor is definitely an absolute must listen.  Overall, Dark Ages have really impressed the hell out of me with their latest LP.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!  Vapor was released via Sorry State records on February 10th, 2015.
