Broken Prayer is a five piece band from Chicago, Illinois who formed in 2011 by the looks of things. Broken Prayer features members of Manipulation, Strangers, Poison Planet, Libyans, and Civic Process. Broken Prayer play a stripped down, caustic, and unhinged style of hardcore/punk. Broken Planet's sound is hard to categorize, but features raspy/breathy male and female vocals, unpredictable timing changes, rapid fire drumming, all punctuated by keyboards. Since their inception, Broken Prayer have released a self-titled demo in 2010, a two song 7" titled WoW/Pull A Kaczynski, and a self-titled full-length LP in 2012. Misanthropocentric (AKA Droid's Blood) is Broken Prayer's latest full-length LP. On their latest full-length LP, Broken Prayer offer up twelve new tracks of discordant and tense as fuck sounding modern hardcore/punk. Overall, Misanthropocentric (AKA Droid's Blood) is a killer LP.
