Special Interest is a four piece band from New Orleans, Louisiana who formed in 2016, from the looks of things. Special Interest play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post punk, no-wave, synth punk, and glam rock within their sound. Since forming in 2016, Special Interest have released a seven song demo titled P.r.E.P. Love Unity Respect in June of 2016, an eight song LP titled Spiraling in February of 2018, and a digital single titled Don't Kiss Me In Public in February of 2020. The Passion Of is Special Interest's second LP, which was released via Thrilling Living and Night School records on June 19th, 2020. On The Passion Of, Special Interest offer up eleven tracks of tense, discordant, harsh, and explosive post punk, no-wave, synth punk, and glam rock. Overall, The Passion Of makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
