Executioner's Mask is a five piece band from Philadelphia, PA who formed in 2019, from the looks of things. Executioner's Mask features members of Crowhurst, Howling Void, LACE, and Cop Warmth, so going on that alone, you know you're in for a special treat. Executioner's Mask play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post punk, cold wave, dark wave, synthwave, goth rock, and death rock within their sound. Musically, Executioner's Mask can be loosely compared to bands such as Sisters Of Mercy, Night Sins, Fotocrime, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2019, Executioner's Mask have released a five song EP titled True Blue in January of 2019. Despair Anthems is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released via Profound Lore records on July 10th, 2020. On Despair Anthems, Executioner's Mask offer up eleven tracks of killer post punk, coldwave, darkwave, synthwave, goth rock, and death rock. Overall, Despair Anthems makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
