Colonial Wound is a band from Jacksonville, Florida who formed in 2018, by the looks of things. Colonial Wound features members of Yashira, so going on that alone, you know you're in for something truly special. Colonial Wound play a brutal and volatile style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, and metal within their sound. Musically, Colonial Wound can be loosely compared to bands such as Deadguy, Kiss It Goodbye, Engineer, Breather Resist, Achilles, and other like-minded bands. This is the band's debut EP, which was released via Dropping Bombs records on July 13th, 2020. On their self-titled debut, Colonial Wound offer up five tracks of chaotic, volatile, and brutal as fuck sounding post hardcore, metal, and noise rock. Overall, Colonial Wound's debut EP makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
