Virgin Mother is the latest musical project from Seb Alvarez, which started in 2020, from the looks of things. Seb Alvarez is best known from playing in bands such as Meth., Tweak, Carnivoires At Grace, Cadence Fox, Other Masquerades, etc. Virgin Mother plays a cool style of music that incorporates elements of post metal, blackgaze, screamo, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Virgin Mother can be loosely compared to bands such as Daughters, Arab On Radar, Loftus, Crowhurst, and other like-minded bands. It Is is Virgin Mother's debut EP, which was released on cassette via Tomb Tree tapes on May 22nd, 2020. On It Is, Virgin Mother offer up six tracks of off-kilter and unsettling post metal, blackgaze, screamo, and noise rock.
