Pilori - Sans Adieu

Pilori out of Rouen, France play blackened hardcore with grindcore ferocity and crust fury. Sans Adieu came out April 17, 2026 with ten tracks of chaotic, crushing intensity. The quartet deliver over 37 minutes of unrelenting aggression sung entirely in French. The band blends blast beat violence with crust punk's raw energy and black metal's atmospheric darkness. Additional instrumentation by Benjamin Moreau from Fange on machines and Benoît Lefèvre from Auteyn on cello. Released on limited vinyl in multiple color variants, digipack CD, and cassette through Frozen Records and Terrain Vague.

FFO: Martyrdöd, Plebeian Grandstand, Hierophant

Hatred Surge - Rotten To Forgotten

Hatred Surge out of Austin, Texas play brutal powerviolence/grindcore death metal. Rotten To Forgotten came out March 20, 2026 but it aint new. It's got four tracks recorded from 2012 demo sessions. The trio - Hughes on bass, Sharp on drums, and Ulsh on guitar - feature different vocalists on each track: Azeta, Gomes, Nolan, and Walker bringing their own vicious styles. Originally tracked on 4-track in 2012, vocals recorded in 2021. Released by Cosmic Hearse as limited 7" with 32-page zine.

FFO: Despise You, Iron Lung, Spazz

Writhe - Self Titled

I've actually written about this release here before back in Two Thousand Fucking Sixteen! But christ this is fucking good, and it just got put on streaming sites again, so I'm writing about it again. Writhe from Hobart, Australia play fast, aggressive grindcore with powerviolence bludgeoning. It's pretty incredible, especially since it's 1-man project. With raw production, brutal riffs, glorious HM2 usage and relentless speed, this is grind stripped down to its nastiest form.

FFO:  Wormrot, Rotten Sound, Nails

SHERM - Demo

Instagram - Bandcamp

SHERM from Warren, Michigan unleash three tracks of grindcore on their demo, released February 13th, 2026. We got some interesting song titles here: "GRINDCORE COWBOY," "KENNY CHESNEY SONG," and "PIPE BOMB IN MY ETHIKAS." The whole thing clocks in under three minutes of crust/grindcore chaos. Michigan basement grind at its finest. Short, nasty, and ready to wreck your day.

FFO: Wormrot,  Magrudergrind, Scalp, Insect Warfare

Plunge - Tour Demo

Instagram - Bandcamp

Plunge out of Albuquerque, NM deliver five tracks of pure grindviolence chaos on Tour Demo. Released February 6, 2026, the demo alternates between sub-minute bursts of powerviolence and longer, grinding assaults that stretch past the three-minute mark. Tracks like "Unclaimed" and "Petroleum Party" explode with frustrated rage about societal collapse and manufactured narratives, while the extended cuts "Fluid" and "Violent Change" let the sludgy, noisy aggression breathe and mutate. The New Mexico hardcore scene keeps churning out brutal acts, and Plunge is raw, uncompromising, and ready to wreck eardrums.

FFO:  Big Gulp, Sex Prisoner, Full Of Hell, Wasp Mother

VerminKing - Inhumane Disruption

VerminKing out of Bielsko-Biała play Swedish death metal with that classic buzzsaw guitar tone. Formed in 2023 from musicians in the local metal-punk scene, they recorded their full-length LP in early 2025. The album pulls straight from the Stockholm playbook—raw, grinding, and built for heads banging and mosh pits exploding rather than technical showboating. Pure worship of the Entombed/Dismember sound, complete with D-beat hardcore energy underneath all that distortion.

FFO: Entombed,  Entrails, Horrid

suffer//erase - Sullen Trails

Massachusetts hardcore band suffer//erase have been quietly grinding away with a raw, no-frills sound that feels more like a basement show than a studio product. Featuring members of Boxcutter Facelift, BastardCurse, Fixture, and more, their songs are short, ugly, and direct, pulling from hardcore, d-beat, and grind without dressing any of it up. Sullen Trails dropped on January 30, 2026, and showcases a tight collection of short, pounding tracks like “Dreadful Teeth” and “Violent Mind,” serving up six blows of unfiltered hardcore chaos.

FFO: Wound Man, Year of the Knife, End, Full Of Hell

Gnawing - Death Absurd

I meant to post about this band last year, someone mentioned it in the chat and it just fell through the Cracks. From what I can tell, Gnawing is a solo project out of the Philippines, and I am so impressed. As someone who wishes to someday create some music at home myself, I can't believe the level of quality here. Everything this dude, or chick, or whatever does, is great, but this Death Absurd release is fantastic. Please enjoy.

FFO: Sick/Tired, Woundvac, Water Torture, Trap Them

MONOCRUST - SELF DESTRUCT

Instagram - Bandcamp

MONOCRUST erupt out of Bali with a harsh, metallic strain of hardcore that feels built from rust, concrete, and pure velocity. Their sound leans into d‑beat grit and crust‑punk abrasion. SELF DESTRUCT, their newest release, is the band at their most volatile. The record detonates in short, punishing bursts, all with scorched‑earth intent.

FFO:  Disfear, Martyrdöd, Wolfbrigade, From Ashes Rise

BACKSTABBERS INC. - Poisoned Minds

Instagram - Facebook - Discogs - Bandcamp - Spotify

Backstabbers Inc., the hardcore punk and grindcore band from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, have returned with their latest release Poisoned Minds. Known for their chaotic blend of hardcore, crust, and grind, the band has been a staple of the New England heavy music scene since the late 1990s. Poisoned Minds delivers politically charged tracks like I’m Afraid of Americans and Savior Complex, showcasing their relentless energy.

FFO: Trap Them, Pig Destroyer, The Red Chord, Converge

Dog Complex - Terrible Things Will Happen To The Ones You Love Most

Dog Complex is a genre-defying band from New Hampshire that blends many genres into a raw, chaotic sound. Their 2024 album Do Fish Dream? is a whirlwind of dissonant riffs, surreal song titles, and unrelenting energy. This new album continues Dog Complex’s tradition of fusing blackened hardcore, mathcore, sludge, and noise rock into a visceral listening experience. Dog Complex’s lyrical themes continue to explore alienation, emotional violence, and surreal imagery.
FFO: Daughters, The Body, Full of Hell, Chat Pile & Converge

TREMBLE - The end of an era

From the heart of Sherbrooke, Québec, Tremble erupts with a sound that blends sludge, grindcore, crust, and death metal. This trio delivers a visceral experience that hits like a freight train in a thunderstorm. Their music is raw, chaotic, and unapologetically loud.

FFO: Nails, Full Of Hell, Trap Them, Primitive Man & Cloud Rat

DEATHFUCKINGWOUND - VOID MMXXV

Instagram - Facebook - YouTube - Spotify

First off, DEATHFUCKINGWOUND is one of the all-time great band names. If the name doesn't tell you everything you need to know, the sound certainly will. DEATHFUCKINGWOUND is a mysterious Finnish duo whose music is a short, sharp shock—a chaotic and relentless vessel of rage drawing equally from Death Metal, Grindcore, Black Metal, and Noise. Their debut EP, Void MMXXV, was written, recorded, and released in just four frantic weeks, emphasizing their "cut-the-bullshit-and-go" mentality.

FFO: Caustic Wound, Primitive Warfare, Teitanblood, Antichrist Siege Machine & Altarage

Constrict - Kadavergehorsam

Fusing fast, aggressive blasts with death metal elements, their sound combines raw speed with relentless heaviness.
