Here's a killer split featuring new material from Marseille, France's Yarostan and Metz, France's Aleska.  Yarostan are a post hardcore/screamo band from Marseille, France who formed in 2015, from the looks of things.  Yarostan play a killer style of dark post hardcore and screamo.  Musically, Yarostan can be loosely compared to bands such as Funeral Diner, Envy, Sed Non Satiata, Daitro, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2015, Yarostan have released a four song EP titled Les ruines de notre temps in September of 2016 and a self-titled EP in April of 2019.  On their side of the split, Yarostan offer up five tracks of dark post hardcore and screamo.  The second of the split features new material from Aleska.  Aleska is a four piece band from Metz who formed in 2011, from the looks of things.  Aleska play killer style of post hardcore, post rock, and screamo within their sound.  Musically, Aleska can be loosely compared to bands such as Kaddish, Lentic Waters, Daitro, Raein, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2012, Aleska have released a three song EP titled The Waiting in July of 2012, a 3-way split with Mariesena and Bears in February of 2013, a digital single titled We Don't Believe In Santa Claus Anymore in January of 2013, a three song EP titled Time Is A Curse in October of 2014, a self-titled LP in September of 2016, and an eight song LP titled Construire ou detruire in March of 2019.  On their side of the split, Aleska offer up eight tracks of dark post hardcore, post rock, and screamo.  Overall, this album makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy.  This split was released on cassette via Zegema Beach records on April 4th, 2019.
