Sunburster is a four piece band from Philadelphia, PA who formed in 2012. Sunburster play a brutal and heavy as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of metal, doom, punk, and sludge within their sound. Musically, Sunburster can be loosely compared to bands such as Sleep, Burrows, Eyehategod, Weedeater, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2012, Sunburster have released a two song EP in March of 2012, a five song self-titled EP in October of 2012, a three song EP titled SolarBipolar in August of 2013, an EP titled The Re-Up Tape in December of 2014, a four song EP titled Submission in March of 2015, and a digital single titled Ronin in October of 2015. This is the band's latest self-titled EP, which was released via Knife Hits on September 10th, 2021. On their latest EP, Sunburster offer up four tracks of ugly, brutal, and heavy as fuck sounding metal, doom, punk, and sludge. Overall, Sunburster's latest EP makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
