Lamp Of Murmuur is a one person band from Olympia, Washington who formed in 2018, from the looks of things. Lamp Of Murmuur play a vicious, scathing, and brutal as fuck style of raw black metal. Musically, Lamp Of Murmuur can be loosely compared to bands such as Ancestors, Grinning Deaths Head, Disembodiment, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2019, Lamp Of Murmuur have released a digital single titled Thunder Vigiland Ecstasy in March of 2019, a seven song demo titled Chasing The Path Of The Hidden Master in October of 2019, a six song demo titled Cursed Deambulations Of The Nocturnal Entities in January of 2020, a a split with Revenant Marquis in March of 2020, a four song demo titled The Burning Spears Of Crimson Agony in March of 2020, an eight song LP titled Heir Of The Ecliptical Romanticism in October of 2020, a split with Dai Ichi in February of 2021, a a two song demo titled Usurping The Hall Of Might And Splendour in May of 2021, and a six song EP titled Submission And Slavery in September of 2021. Punishment And Devotion is Lamp Of Murmuur's latest EP, which was released via Death Prayer records on September 17th, 2021. On Punishment And Devotion, Lamp Of Murmuur offer up two tracks of vicious, raw, and filthy sounding black metal. Overall, Punishment And Devotion makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
