Demersal is a four piece band from Odense, Denmark who formed in 2016, from the looks of things. Demersal play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, crust, screramo, and black metal within their sound. Musically, Demersal can be loosely compared to bands such as early Amen Ra, Hexis, Lentic Waters, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2016, Demersal have released a four song EP titled To Mend A Yellow Wound in October of 2017, a nine song EP titled Less in February of 2020. and a split EP with Regarding Ambiguity in June of 2021. Death Routines is Demersal's latest EP, which was released via Zegema Beach, Animocos, Over The Under, Heartland, Fresh Outbreak, Destroy It Yourself, Nothing To Harvest, Out Of Thunes, Pasidaryk Pats, Dingleberry, and 5 Feet Under records on September 16th, 2021. On Death Routines, Demersal offer up five tracks of killer hardcore, punk, crust, screamo, and black metal. Overall, Death Routines makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.
