Sweeping Promises is a relatively new band from Boston, MA who formed in 2018, from the looks of things. Sweeping Promises play a tense, moody, driving, and angular style of music that incorporates elements of post punk, punk, and new wave within their sound. Musically, Sweeping Promises can be loosely compared to bands such as The Wipers, Moving Targets, The Estranged, Slant Six, Airfix Kits, and other like-minded bands. Hunger For A Way out is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released via Feel It records on August 14th, 2020. On Hunger For A Way Out, Sweeping Promises offer up ten tracks of stripped down, rough, tense, moody, driving, and angular sounding post punk, punk, and new wave.
