Spectrum/Static is a two piece band who formed in 2003. Spectrum/Static play a weird, unsettling, and lo-fi style of music that incorporates elements of punk, death rock, and experimental noise rock within their sound. Musically, Spectrum/Static can be said to be influenced by bands such as Tad, Mudhoney, The Jesus Lizard, Sonic Youth, John Spencer Blues Explosion, Destruction Unit, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2003, Spectrum/Static have released a nine song LP titled The Fuzz McGhee Tape in July of 2016, an eleven song LP titled Fuzz McGhee Tape 2 in November of 2017, a self-titled ten song LP in July of 2016, a thirteen song LP titled Now And Again in December of 2017, a seven song LP titled A Sound Was Made in November of 2017, a self-titled LP in November of 2019, an eleven song LP titled Fuzz McGhee Tape 3 in November of 2019, and a 25 song LP titled Self-Involved Imagery in April of 2020. Change Of Head is Spectrum/Static's latest LP, which is slated for release via Forbidden Place records on October 1st, 2020. On A Change Of Head, Spectrum/Static offer up fourteen tracks of weird, unsettling, and lo-fi punk, death rock, and experimental noise rock.
