Perturbator - Lustful Sacraments (2021)
Perturbator has always been in my top 5 synthwave artists. His stuff is always super heavy, super polished and just sounds great overall. The cover artwork for his albums is also usually pretty badass. It's been a while since we got a Perturbator release, the last one being 2017 's "New Model" EP, but here we are almost 4 years later and we have brand new Perturbator to enjoy with the "Lustful Sacraments" 2xLP. Now, I've only listened to this once so far, so I need to do a deeper dive, but this new release is much more subdued than past releases, which quite frankly bums me out a bit. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful and VERY atmospheric, and it was awesome to have it in the background today while I was working. But I was hoping for something that would knock the door down if you know what I mean. The synths were very eerie and very cool, but there was not much of a driving "beat" on this album. The best way I can describe it after one listen is to imagine if David Lynch did the soundtrack to Blade Runner. I hope that makes sense. Either way you should check it out, and download it, because it's fucking FREE. Or name your price, at least.

Euphoria is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released via Throatruiner and Roosevelt records on February 17th, 2021. On Euphoria, Future Faces offer up eight tracks of dark, gloomy, and moody sounding post punk, darkwave, coldwave, synthwave, indie rock, and alt. rock. I'll keep this simple and spare you the biography for the band this time around because I'm sure most of you are very familiar with Night Sins as of now. Just in case you don't know, Night Sins is a two piece band comprised of members of Youth Attack alum Salvation. With that said, Night Sins play a dark, moody, and eerie style of post punk and dark wave. Portrait In Silver is the band's latest LP, which was released via Funeral Party records on September 6th, 2019. On Portrait In Silver, Night Sins offer up eight tracks of dark and moody post punk and dark wave. Overall, Portrait In Silver is an amazing album and is probably Night Sins' best album to date.
