Joy is a four piece band from Raleigh, North Carolina who formed in 2015, from the looks of things. Joy play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, metal, and crust within their sound. Musically, Joy can be loosely compared to bands such as Cursed, Geist, Baptists, Harrowed, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2015, Joy have released a two song self-titled EP in May of 2015 and a five song EP titled Of Nothing in June of 2016. No Light Below is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released via To Live A Lie records on October 12th, 2019. On No Light Below, Joy offer up ten tracks of vicious and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, metal, and crust. Overall, No Light Below makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
