Chained To The Bottom Of The Ocean is a four piece band from Springfield, Massachusetts who formed in 2016, from the looks of things. Chained To The Bottom Of The Ocean play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post metal, black metal, doom, and sludge within their sound. Musically, Chained To The Bottom Of The Ocean can be loosely compared to bands such as Thou, Barghest, Moloch, Hell, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2016, Chained To The Bottom Of The Ocean have released a 6 song LP titled Decay And Other Hopes Against Progress in September of 2017 and a three song LP titled I Carry My Awareness of Defeat like a Banner of Victory in December of 2018. Tell Me What You See Vanishing and I Will Tell You Who You Are is the band's latest 12", which was released via Sludgelord records on October 25th, 2019. On Tell Me What You See Vanishing and I Will Tell You Who You Are, Chained To The Bottom Of The Ocean offer up three tracks of raw and filthy sounding post metal, black metal, doom and sludge.
