Olde is a five piece band from Toronto, Ontario who formed in 2014, from the looks of things. Olde play an oppressive, ugly, and brutal as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of doom, metal, and sludge within their sound. Musically, Olde can be loosely compared to bands such as Northless, Batillus, Junior Bruce, Hollow Leg, Buzzoven, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2014, Olde have released an eight song LP titled I in March of 2016, a four song EP titled Shallow Graves in August of 2016, and a seven song LP titled Temple in August of 2017. Pilgrimage is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Sludgelord and Seeing Red records on March 19th, 2021. On Pilgrimage, Olde offer up eight tracks of oppressively heavy and brutal as fuck sounding doom, metal, and sludge. Overall, Pilgrimage makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
