"Non omnis moriar..." Compilation
Kowloon Walled City / Shallow North Dakota - Toronto 5/31/2025
As mentioned in my previous post (sorry it's been so long), Kowloon Walled City played a cover set of Shallow North Dakota songs at this year's Prepare The Ground fest in Toronto. Shallow ND hailed from Hamilton, Ontario and were around from 1993-2005, putting out 3 killer albums (please check these out). They briefly reunited in 2018 until 2019, and unfortunately the singer/drummer Tony Jacome passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2021. Once you listen to Shallow ND, you'll instantly know why Kowloon Walled City was chosen to do this set. KWC was joined by 4 different guest vocalists: Rachel Jones (Jacome), Sean Arsenian (Cell Press), Trez Lanz (Mares Of Thrace) & Skot Hamilton (KEN Mode).
I recorded the audio from this set on a shitty field recorder, so you may think the quality is awful, but at least it exists, I'll drop a download link for it. Olde is a five piece band from Toronto, Ontario who formed in 2014, from the looks of things. Olde play an oppressive, ugly, and brutal as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of doom, metal, and sludge within their sound. Musically, Olde can be loosely compared to bands such as Northless, Batillus, Junior Bruce, Hollow Leg, Buzzoven, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2014, Olde have released an eight song LP titled I in March of 2016, a four song EP titled Shallow Graves in August of 2016, and a seven song LP titled Temple in August of 2017. Pilgrimage is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Sludgelord and Seeing Red records on March 19th, 2021. On Pilgrimage, Olde offer up eight tracks of oppressively heavy and brutal as fuck sounding doom, metal, and sludge. Overall, Pilgrimage makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!

Foxmoulder were a four piece band from Toronto, Ontario who existed from 2012 until 2016, from the looks of things. Foxmoulder played a chaotic, volatile, and brutal style of music that incorporated elements of hardcore, punk, emo, and screamo within their sound. Musically, Foxmoulder can be loosely compared to bands such as Beau Navire, Coma Regalia, The Saddest Landscape, Saetia, Orchid, Furnace, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2012, Foxmoulder have released a five song EP titled Hindsight in January of 2012, a split EP with in September of 2012, a digital single titled Endless/Blameless in December of 2012, a four song EP titled Lethe in March of 2013, contributed a song to the Swollen Lungs compilation LP in March of 2014, a split 5" with Coma Regalia in March of 2014, and a split 12"with Eaglehaslanded in August of 2015. This is the band's recorded discography, which was released on cassette via Zegema Beach and No Funeral records on January 15th, 2021. On their complete discography, Foxmoulder offer up nineteen tracks of tense, chaotic, and volatile sounding hardcore, punk, emo, and screamo.
