Here's a killer split LP featuring new material from NYC's People's Temple Project and MA's Sleeper Wave. People's Temple Project is a three piece band from NYC who formed in the spring of 2013, from the looks of things. People's Temple Project features members of The Story Of Floating Weeds and the band plays an interesting style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, punk, emo, off-kilter screamo, and bits of shoegaze within their sound. Since their inception in 2013, People's Temple Project have released a four track demo in August of 2013, three additional singles for the Empathy compilation and Zegema Beach's label samplers, a split 7" with MRTEX in June of 2015, a self-titled two song 5" in June of 2016, a tour demo cassette with Sleeper Wave in August of 2016, and a four song EP of leftover songs titled Old, Unreleased, Not mastered in January of 2019. On Their side of the split People's Temple Project offer up seven songs of killer post hardcore, emoviolence, and shoegaze tinged screamo. The second side of the split belongs to Sleeper Wave. Sleeper Wave is a three piece band from Wilbraham, MA who formed in 2013, from the looks of things. Sleeper Wave play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, punk, emo, screamo and emoviolence within their sound. Musically, Sleeper Wave can be loosely compared to bands such as Kidcrash, Off Minor, Ampere, Jeromes Dream, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2013, Sleeper Wave have released a self-titled demo in August of 2013, a self-titled LP in November of 2015, and a split with Eight Feet Under in June of 2017. On their side of the split, Sleeper Wave offer up three tracks of off-kilter sounding post hardcore, emo, screamo, and powerviolence. Overall, this is a killer split and both bands offer up top notch material for this album. Highly recommended! Enjoy! This split was released via Zegema Beach records on February 1st, 2019.
