Thoughtcrimes is a five piece band from New York City who formed in 2018. Thoughtcrimes features drummer Billy Rymer who formerly played in The Dillinger Escape Plan. Thoughtcrimes play a killer style of chaotic and volatile sounding hardcore, punk, and metal within their sound. Musically, Thoughtcrimes can be loosely compared to bands such as Nora, Every Time I Die, Gatherers, and other like-minded bands. Tap Night is the band's debut EP, which was released on March 22nd, 2019. On Tap Night Thoughtcrimes offer up four tracks of chaotic/visceral sounding hardcore, punk, and metal, interspersed with dark/dreaming sounding atmospherics. Overall, Tap Night makes for an awesome debut and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended!
