Westkust is a four piece band from Gotheburg, Sweden who formed in 2010. Westkust play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post punk, shoegaze, alt. rock, and indie rock within their sound. Musically, Westkust can be loosely compared to bands such as Slow Crush, Nothing, Violet Cold, Hatchie, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2010, Westkust have released a digital single titled Touch in June of 2012, a four song EP titled Junk in July of 2012, a two song EP titled Summer #D/Weekends in August of 2013, a digital single titled Swirl in March of 2015, a nine song LP titled Last Forever in April of 2015, a digital single titled Swebeach in January of 2019, and a digital single titled Cotton Skies in February of 2019. This is the band's latest LP, which was released via Run For Cover and Through Love records on March 1st, 2019. On their latest LP, Westkust offer up nine tracks of bright, dreamy, and hazy sounding post punk, shoegaze, alt. rock, and indie rock. Overall, Westkust's latest LP makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
