SCRAPE - S/T EP

When Chris Colohan recently told me that something he was involved in was coming out soon and that I would probably dig it, I knew I was in for a treat. That treat came in the form of SCRAPE, an old/new project/band that consists of former members of Left for Dead, Cursed, Lifespite, Insult, Citizens Patrol, Blind to Faith, and Abusive Forms etc etc. This thing has been in the works for a while, starting back in the Covid days and slowly pieced together in the years since. Their debut self title 7" recently came out on Oblivion Records which you can hear and buy below. Chris was right, this is definitely up my alley. Self described as Iron Monkey/Unsane worship", i will add my 2 cents in and say it's got a Burning Love vibe if Burning Love was slower, darker, suffocating, sludgier, and much much uglier. Just like the world we are currently living in. There's a great review/interview over at No Echo that you should check out where the band lets slip that "there are more songs written", so here's hoping they see the light of day sooner rather than later.
