Warstone is a band from New Bedford, MA who formed in 2017, from the looks of things.  Warstone play a vicious and brutal as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, metal, grindcore, and powerviolence within their sound.  Musically, Warstone can be loosely compared to bands such as Nails, SVFFER, WVRM, Gatecreeper, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2017, Warstone have released a six song EP titled The Tale Of The Wasp King in November of 2017, an eleven song EP titled Bloodlust Of The Armoured Beast in December of 2017, a thirteen song EP titled Demise Of The Black Wind in December of 2017, a seventeen song EP titled Firebolts Over Ice Castle in February of 2018, a six song EP titled A Forgotten Sea in February of 2018,  a six song EP titled The Oldest Deeds Of Gods And Men in August of 2020, and a ten song LP titled Whose Roots Know Whence They Sprang in January of 2021.  Drengr is the band's latest LP, which was released on July 10th, 2021.  On Drengr, Warstone offer up eleven tracks of insanely vicious and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, metal, grindcore, and powerviolence.  Overall, Drengr makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Warstone's "Drengr" release isn't all vicious, it has many whimsical moments. Lots of clean vocals and melodies. Not sure the article's author actually listened to it.
