Carson Wells-Tread A Northern Path LP (2015)

Country: United Kingdom
Genre: Post Hardcore, Punk, Emo, Noise Rock
Label: Black Lake Records
Tracks: 10
Length: 41.0'

Carson Wells is a three piece band from Aberdeen, UK who formed in 2010.  Carson Wells play a noisy, tense, angular, and jagged style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, punk, emo, and noise rock within their sound.  Musically, Carson Wells can be loosely compared to bands such as Sleepytime Trio, 400 Years, early Engine Down, and early 2000's Ebullition Records style bands.  Since their inception in 2010, Carson Wells have released a four song self-titled EP in May of 2010, a nine song LP titled Wonderkid in September of 2012, and a split 7" with Human Hands in March of 2014.  Tread A Northern Path is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Black Lake records on March 31st, 2015.  On Tread A Northern Path, Carson Wells offer up ten tracks of angular, discordant, noisy, and tense sounding post hardcore, punk, emo, and noise rock.  Overall, Tread A Northern Path is a killer LP and should not missed.  Seriously, I wish more bands played this throwback style of emotive post hardcore, punk, and noise rock.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Haven't had a chance to listen yet but the cover art definitely reminds me of four hundred years' transmit failure.
