Infinity Land is a five piece band from CT, who formed in 2021.  Infinity Land, features Tarek Ahmed from CT noise mongers Intercourse on vocals, so going on that alone, you know you're in for something truly special.  Infinity Land play an absolutely ugly and brutal as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, punk, metal, sludge, and noise rock within their sound.  Musically, Infinity Land can be loosely compared to band such as Breather Resist, Brain Banger, Unsane, Faking, The Jesus Lizard, Chat Pile, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2021, Infinity Land have released a four song EP titled Honest Comedy in May of 2021.  Small Town Rituak Abuse is the band's second EP, which was released  on December 3rd, 2021.  On Small Town Ritual Abuse, Infinity Land offer up two tracks of ugly, deranged, negative, depraved, and brutal as fuck sounding post hardcore, punk, metal, sludge, and noise rock.  Overall, Small Town Ritual Abuse makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Here's a killer split featuring two of my favorite bands offering up covers of awesome 90's bands.  These two killer covers come courtesy of CT's Intercourse and Kansas City, Missouri's Canyons.  Regular readers of the blog should be very familiar with both bands appearing on the split, so I'll spare you from enduring my usual spiel here.  The 1st cover comes courtesy of Intercourse who offer up a cover of Harvey Danger's Flagpole Sitta.  The second cover comes courtesy of Canyons who offer up a killer cover Folk Implosion's Natural One.  Overall, this is a fun compilation of songs and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended.  Lover for this killer split 7" to be released via The Ghost Is Clear records in December.

Have A Nice Life are a two piece Connecticut based band formed by Dan Barrett and Tim Macuga who got their start in 2000.  Have A Nice Life play a cold, haunting, and stark style of music that incorporates elements of post rock, post punk, industrial tinged shoegaze, and drone within their sound.  Have A Nice Life's sound is atmospheric and bleak, yet very unique and hard to describe.  Have A Nice Life have released several albums, which include Deathconsciousness in 2008, a 2nd EP titled Time Of Land, an album that compiles all of the band's earlier material titled Voids in 2009, two additional demos titled Have A Nice Life Vs. You in 2002, and Powers Of Ten in 2006,  an eight song LP titled The Unnatural World in January of 2014, and a seven song LP titled Sea Of Worry in November of 2019.  This is the band's remastered version of their debut EP, Time Of Land, which was released digitally via The Flenser and on May 7th, 2021.  On Time Of Land, Have A Nice offer up four tracks of bleak, cold, and claustrophobic sounding post rock, post punk, shoegaze, and drone.  Overall, Time Of Land makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Black Wing is the electronic side project of Dan Barett, who began composing music under the moniker Black Wing in 2013.  Based out of CT, Dan Barett is best known for his work in bands that include Have A Nice Life,  Giles Corey, and runs the label Enemies List recordings.  Black Wing plays a chill and ambient style of music that incorporates elements of post punk, chillwave, and electronic music.  Since starting in 2013, Black Wing has released a digital single titled Black Wing in May of 2013, a digital single titled My Body Betrayed Me in August of 2013, and a seven song LP titled ...Is Doomed in May of 2015.  No Moon is Black Wing's second full-length LP, which was released via The Flenser on December 11th, 2020.  On No Moon, Black Wing offer up nine tracks of hauntingly beautiful snd depressive electronic, chillwave, and post punk.  Overall, No Moon makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!
