DUG is a two piece band from Minneapolis, Minnesota who formed in 2020. DUG play an oppressively heavy and noisy as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of doom, metal, sludge, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, DUG can be loosely compared to bands such as Slabdragger, Herder, Burrows, Sleep, and other like-minded bands. This is the band's debut LP, which was released via The Ghost Is Clear records on June 5th, 2021. On their self-titled debut, DUG offer up five tracks of ugly, oppressively heavy, and noisy as fuck sounding doom, metal, sludge, and noise rock. Overall, DUG's debut LP makes for an amazing listen that's best suited to be best experienced through headphones! Seriously, this is one of my favorite albums so far this year. Highly recommended!
