Merked is a three piece band from Oakland, CA who formed in 2020, from the looks of things. Merked play a vicious, scathing, and brutal as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, fastcore, and powerviolence within their sound. Musically, Merked can be loosely compared to bands such as Oxidant, Cell Rot, Iron Lung, Dropdead, Scalp The Pioneer, Kidnapped, and other like-minded bands. This is the band's debut EP, which was released on cassette via Goat Power Recreation on February 2nd, 2021. On their self-titled EP, Merked offer up seventeen tracks of vicious, scathing, and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, fastcore, and powerviolence. Overall, Merked's debut EP makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
