Holy fuck!  Where did this band come from and how come I've never heard about them before?  Thanks to whoever dropped the link in the blog's shoutbox.  Angry Gods are a five piece band from Chicago Illinois who formed in 2011, featuring members of Harps Of Tartarus, Boiling Over, and Scouts Honor.  Angry Gods play a dirty and heavy as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, sludge, and noise rock within their sound.  Musically, Angry Gods can be said to be influenced by bands such as Botch, Breather Resist, Achilles, Breather Resist, and Bone Dance.  Since forming in 2011, Angry Gods have released a two song EP titled Concrete Distortion in June of 2012, a two song EP titled Greyed Delay/Swell in September of 2013, and a two song EP titled Pressure Contained/ The Mass in March of 2014.  The Clearing is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released via Hip Kid and Kid Sister Everything records on August 11th, 2016.  On The Clearing, Angry Gods offer up nine tracks of sludge influenced/noise damaged hardcore.  Overall, The Clearing is an amazing LP and Angry Gods are an absolute must listen for fans of Canyons, Divider, and other like-minded bands.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!
