Gen Pop is a band from Olympia, Washington who formed in 2017. Gen Pop play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of punk, post punk, and garage rock within their sound. Musically, Gen Pop can be loosely compared to bands such as Giant Haystacks, Institute, Total Control, Wipers, Criminal Code, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2017, Gen Pop have released a five song EP titled on The Screen in November of 2017 and a six song EP titled II in May of 2018. 36 Counties is the band's latest EP, which was released on April 28th, 2020. On 36 Counties, Gen Pop offer up five tracks of tense, frenetic, and discordant sounding punk, post punk, and garage rock. Overall, 36 Counties makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Great stuff! Enjoy!
