NØ MAN is a four piece band from Washington, D.C. who formed in 2017, from the looks of things. NØ MAN features members of Majority Rule, so going on that alone you know you're in for some really devastatingly awesome music. NØ MAN play a vicious and brutal as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, screamo, and noise rock within their sound. Since forming in 2017, NØ MAN have released an eight song LP titled Devils Cast Long Shadows in July of 2018 and a cassette single titled Cut Out in July of 2019. Erase is NØ MAN's latest LP, which was released on August 24th, 2020. On Erase, NØ MAN offer up eight tracks of killer hardcore, punk, screamo, and noise rock. Overall, Erase makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!

Bound is a four piece band from Washington, DC who formed in 2016, from the looks of things. Bound play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post metal, post rock, shoegaze, and dream pop within their sound. Musically, Bound can be loosely compared to bands such as Nothing, Whirr, Slowdive, and other like-minded bands. No Beyond is the band's debut LP, which was released via Diehard skeleton records on April 20th, 2018. On No Beyond, Bound offer up nine tracks of dreamy and atmospheric sounding post metal, post rock, shoegaze, and dream pop. Overall, No Beyond makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!

Mount Eerie is a solo project by Phil Elverum from Anacortes, Washington which he started in 1997 under the name the Microphones. Since 2003 his project is known under the name Mount Eerie. 'Now Only' is the follow up to Mount Eerie's critically acclaimed album 'A Crow Looked At Me' released in march 2017. His style is a powerful, beautiful but sad mix of experimental Indie Pop and singer/songwriter stuff. 'Now Only' will be released on 12'' vinyl and in digital format through Phil Elverum's own label P.W. Elverum & Sun, Ltd. on march 16, 2018. Highly recommended for everyone who's also into slowed-down and beautiful dreamy music.! Enjoy.!!

Phil Elverum is Mount Eerie. The 33 year-old multi-instrumentalist has played in other bands, and worked as a producer, but remains best known for this solo project, which began under the name the Microphones in 1997. In 2003, he renamed the project Mount Eerie (and added an 'e' to his last name, Elvrum) after returning from a trip to Norway, where he lived alone in a remote cabin for a winter. 'Mount Eerie' specifically refers to the mountain on Fidalgo Island, an island an hour and change north of Seattle where you’ll also find Elverum’s lifelong Anacortes, Washington hometown.
To date, his most critically acclaimed (and popular) album is the Microphones’ 2001 epic 'The Glow Pt. 2'. The first official Mount Eerie album — following the Microphones’ final 2003 full-length, also called 'Mount Eerie' - is 2005’s 'No Flashlight'. It was followed by 2007’s 'Mount Eerie pts. 6 & 7', a 132-page hardcover book of his photography, packaged with a 10” picture disk. In early 2009, the journals he kept and drawings he scribbled in Norway were released as a 144-page hardcover book called 'Dawn'. It came with 16 color photo cards and a CD of songs he wrote while living there.
Regardless of the moniker, the various collections include interlocking themes, references to earlier works, and are marked by Elverum’s distinctive naturalist self-recorded lo-fi analog sound that mixes a whispered, gentle voice which can also yell and bellow, with various strains of sound: His work can be delicately spare or booming and ambitiously layered and noisy, often in the same song. Lyrically, he focuses on memory, first-person storytelling, myth, naturalism, the everyday as sacred, and a sense of place (in and out of Washington State), among other related things. In addition to his extravagantly packaged albums Elverum has released self-published books (which he illustrates or fills with his photographs) via his own label, P.W. Genocide Pact is a three piece band from Washington, D.C. who formed in the summer of 2013, from the looks of things. Genocide Pact play an absolutely vicious and brutal style of death metal. Musically, Genocide Pact can be loosely compared to bands such as Mutilation Rites, Ilsa, Seven Sisters Of Sleep, Pharoh, and Black September. Since their inception in 2013, Genocide Pact have released a four song demo in September of 2013 and a two song 7" titled Desecration on Bad Teeth Recordings in November of 2014. Forged Through Domination is Genocide Pact's debut full length LP, which is slated for release via A389 recordings sometime this September. On Forged Through Domination, Genocide Pact offer up seven tracks of raw, grimy, and brutal as fuck sounding death metal. Overall, Forged Through Domination is an absolutely crushing album and should not be missed. Pure Disgust are a five piece band from Washington, D.C. who formed in 2013. Pure Disgust play a killer style of stripped-down, bare bones style modern hardcore. Pure Disgust's sound is blistering and heavily influenced by late 70's era UK punk, according to Katorga Works. Musically, Pure Disgust can be loosely compared to bands such as Hounds Of Hate, Boston Strangler, and CREEM. Chained is the band's latest six song EP, which was released via Katorga Works records on April 25th, 2015. On Chained, Pure Disgust tear their way through six tracks in a little over nine minutes. Overall, Chained is a killer 7" and Pure Disgust is an absolute must listen for fans of stripped down/bare bones modern punk. Highly recommended! Enjoy!

Loud Boyz area five piece punk band from Washington, D.C. who formed in January of 2014. Loud Boyz play an anthemic and catchy as hell sounding style of punk music. Musically, Loud Boyz remind me of bands such as Government Issue, Leatherface, and Canadian Rifle. Loud Boyz features killer guitar chops, hard hitting drums, killer basslines, and gruff vocals that tie the band's sound together in a tight package. Hard Feelings/4 The Ladies is the band's latest two song 7", which was released via Cricket Cemetery records on November 45th, 2014. Overall, Loud Boyz have absolutely nailed it here and offer up two tracks of killer no-frills punk music. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
