Resonance Cascade is a four piece band from Malmö/Lund/Osby, Sweden who formed in early 2014.  Resonance Cascade features former members of Crowpath and current members of Deranged, Arkhe, and Splattered Mermaids.  Resonance play a blistering, caustic, and face-melting style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, and grindcore within their sound.  Musically, Resonance Cascade can be said to be influenced by bands such as Iron Lung, Infest, Haymaker, Left For Dead, and Pig Destroyer.  This is the band's debut ten song 7", which was released via Cricket Cemetery records on October 31st, 2014.  On their debut offering, Resonance Cascade shred their way through ten songs in about ten minutes flat.  Overall, Resonance Cascade have absolutely nailed on their debut 7".  Seriously, this seven inch is brutal beyond belief.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Loud Boyz area five piece punk band from Washington, D.C. who formed in January of 2014.  Loud Boyz play an anthemic and catchy as hell sounding style of punk music.  Musically, Loud Boyz remind me of bands such as Government Issue, Leatherface, and Canadian Rifle.  Loud Boyz features killer guitar chops, hard hitting drums, killer basslines, and gruff vocals that tie the band's sound together in a tight package.  Hard Feelings/4 The Ladies is the band's latest two song 7", which was released via Cricket Cemetery records on November 45th, 2014.  Overall, Loud Boyz have absolutely nailed it here and offer up two tracks of killer no-frills punk music.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Putrisect is a five piece death metal band from Baltimore, Maryland who formed in 2014.  Putrisect play a killer style of raw American death metal.  Musically, Putrisect cite Morbid Angel, Entombed, Unleashed, Slayer, and Impetigo as influences, which definitely shows up in the band's sound.  Chaos Awaits is the band's latest four song EP, which was released via Cricket Cemetery records on May 23rd, 2014.  On their latest 12", Putrisect offer up four tracks of filthy and raw sounding American black metal that's an absolute must listen for fans of Mutilation Rites, Ilsa, and Ancestors.  Overall, Chaos Awaits is an amazing 12" and should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Highway Cross is a four piece punk/garage rock band from Arlington, Virginia who formed in 2011.  I'm extremely stoked to review this 7" because Highway Cross features members of Triac and Cloak/Dagger, who were one of my favorite punk bands in the last two years.  Highway Cross play an extremely tight style of punk and garage rock that calls to mind bands such as Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes, and Obits.  Since their inception in 2011, Highway Cross have two releases under their belts which includes a four song 7" titled Locked In, which was released in November of 2011 and their latest five song 7" titled Open Eyes, which was released via Cricket Cemetery records on October 31st, 2014.  On their latest 7", Highway Cross offer up five songs frenetic, blistering, tense, yet slightly melodic punk/garage rock.  Overall, Open Eyes is really energetic, tight, and catchy as fuck  Seriously, I can't get enough of this 7"!  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!
