New Jersey-based experimental musician Sylvia Haynes has released her latest project, “Healer”, a deeply personal and sonically adventurous album that continues her prolific streak of genre-defying work. Known for her raw lyricism and unconventional song structures, Haynes blends lo-fi textures, ambient noise, and spoken word into a soundscape that’s as haunting as it is healing.

Label: Hellminded Records

Featuring Tim Singer, Deadguy and Kiss it Goodbye, along with Steven Crudello of Turning Point, seminal NJHC band No Escape return after a 27 year hiatus with six crushing new tracks that feature their unmistakable brand of classic metal-tinged hardcore which was recorded and mixed by Arik Victor at Creep Records and Mastered by heavy music maestro, Alan Douches at West West Side Music. As one of the most influential bands at the forefront of the burgeoning Metalcore scene in the late 1980’s, No Escape has widely been considered one of the earliest architects of the Metalcore genre. Their 1990 demo and subsequent split 7" with Turning Point on Temperance Records are still revered as two of the most recognizable releases of the era and sound as menacing and current now as they did almost 30 years ago. In 1993, the band released their only LP, Just Accept It, and it would be the last we saw of them as members went on to form such bands as Deadguy, Seven Gone, and Kiss It Goodbye. Until now...

NY In 64 - The Gentle Indifference Of The Night (2017)
Rel. Date: May 26, 2017
Format: 12''
Origin: Keyport, New Jersey (USA)
Genre: Post Hardcore, Post Rock, Instrumental
Label: Dark Operative Digital
NY In 64 is a 4-piece instrumental band from Keyport, New Jersey that features Justin Hock & Thomas Schlatter of 90's screamo band 'You And I' and Chris Alfano & Seth Rheam of post metal band 'East Of The Wall'. Completely void of vocals, the raw energy of 90’s hardcore supplied by Hock and Schlatter, mixed with the refined technical aspects of progressive metal Alfano and Rheam deliver, were like two worlds colliding. However, it resulted into something that seamlessly blended the two contrary styles. 'The Gentle Indifference Of The Night' is the 2nd album from NY In 64 and the follow-up to the 2015’s self-titled debut album. It documents the band pushing their sonic template to new heights, realizing an even more refined and uniquely inspired style of instrumental hardcore aggression. The hooks are big, the dynamics are deep and textured. 'The Gentle Indifference Of The Night' is a killer album that truly sounds like no other. It's almost comparable to movie soundtracks. Even if you don't like instrumental music, you'll definitely enjoy this fine tune. Highly recommended.!!
