Signo 13 is a band from DF, Brazil who formed in 2012, from the looks of things. Signo 13 play a cold, dark, gloomy, and moody style of music that incorporates elements of post punk, cold wave, and goth rock within their sound. Musically, Signo 13 can be loosely be compared to bands such as The Bellicose Minds, Cold Cave, Night Sins, Death To Lovers, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2012, Signo 13 have released a six song EP titled El Verdugo Y Vendetta in April of 2012, a nine song EP titled Esprectros de Ferro in February of 2013, a an eight song EP titled Fata Morgana in January of 2015, a a thirteen song compilation LP titled No Caos A Melodia in April of 2016, a thirteen song sound sampler LP titled Mendacium in February of 2017, a four song live EP in June of 2018, and a fifteen song LP titled Serpentario in March of 2021. Animal Ancestral is the band's latest EP, which was released on September 3rd, 2021. On Animal Ancestral, Signo 13 offer up three tracks of dark, cold, gloomy, and moody sounding post punk, cold wave, and goth rock. Overall, Animal Ancestral makes for an awesome listen and is definitely worth checking out. Enjoy!

Lasso is a band from Brazil who formed in 2020, from the looks of things. Lasso play a vicious and scathing style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, and d-beat within their sound. Musically, Lasso can be loosely compared to bands such as Impalers, Vaaska, Electric Chair, Rakta, and other like-minded bands. This is the band's debut 7", which was released via Sorry State records on March 5th, 2021. On their self-titled debut, Lasso offer up eight tracks of vicious, scathing, and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, and d-beat. Overall, Lasso's debut 7"makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!

DEAFKIDS announce Metaprogramação their third full length release, and first studio album to be released with Neurot Recordings due for release on March 15. While their previous release, Configuração do Lamento, captured the group delving deep into their own diverse and discordant musical world, Metaprogramação pushes these elements to entirely new extremes. DEAFKIDS imprint a future-primitive psychic scenario into their music by weaving a fabric of electronic pulses, barrages of delay and noise, wailing guitars, and frenzied rhythms that ricochet aggressively across the speakers. Songs are urgent yet fluid, melting and dissolving into one another, culminating in a wild psychedelic journey that's bound to reach one's mind through the body while intoxicating both.

* Damn, DEAFKIDS offer up some seriously unique and aurally vicious punk and experimental noise. On METAPROGRAMACAO, DEAFKIDS offer up thirteen tracks of killer experimental noise punk that's seriously one of the most interesting albums I've all month. Desalmado (translates 'soulless' or 'heartless') is a 4-piece band from Sao Paulo, Brazil which was formed in 2004 under the name El Fuego. Desalmado are today at the forefront of Sao Paulo's underground scene. Celebrating 13 years on the road with 4 official releases, 2 tours in Europe - 2 casting festivals in Portugal and Spain, and playing numerous gigs throughout Brazil alongside extreme metal legends such as Entombed and Obituary. This band stays true to grindcore, but mixes it with the forward moving power and relentless destruction of modern deathgrind. This is dark, aggressive and nihilistic sounding music. Since forming in 2003, D.E.R. have released a split with Norte Asceta in October of 2003, a fourteen song LP titled Quando a Esperanca Desaba in January of 2008, a split with Aberrant in January of 2012, and a split with Test in January of 2014. Rancor is the band's latest EP, which was released via Nerve Altar records on June 23rd, 2017. On Rancor, D.E.R. offer up six tracks of raging, vicious, and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, black metal, and grindcore. Dalla Nebbia are a four piece band from North Carolina, Minnesota, Washington, and Brazil who formed in 2010. In addition to these four members, Dalla Nebbia also features Norwegian violinist Sareeta, who provided strings for this release. Dalla Nebbia cite the American black metal stylings of Agalloch or Nachtmystium to the more progressive stylings of Limbonic Art or Arcturus as influences. Dalla Nebbia also throw in elements of prog rock and doom as well, which makes for a complex sound that's difficult to pigeonhole or describe. Felix Cupla is Dalla Nebia's latest full-length LP, which was released via Ominous Domain and Razed Soul records on September 15th, 2015. On Felix Culpa, Dalla Nebbia offer up ten tracks of very well played atmospheric and progressive death metal that's sure to please fans of several subgenres of the underground metal scene. Overall, Felix Culpa is a killer LP and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
