Rakta is a two piece band from Brazil who formed in 2013, from the looks of things. Rakta play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post punk and goth punk within their sound. Musically, Rakta can be loosely compared to bands such as Diat, Chain Cult, Belgrado, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2013, Rakta have released six song, self-titled EP in December of 2013, a two song 7" titled Serpente in October of 2014, a split with Cadaver Em Transe in Ocotber of 2015, a two song 7" titled Intencao in February of 2016, a five song EP titled III in July of 2016, a digital single titled Memoria Do Futuro in March of 2017, and a five song 7" titled Oculto Pelos Seres in October of 2017. Falha Comum is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via La Vida Es Un Mus on April 1st, 2019, and is also slated for release via Iron Lung records on April 11th, 2019. On Falha Comum, Rakta offer up seven tracks of dark and gloomy post punk and goth punk. Overall, Falha Comum makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended!
