Melt is a four piece band from France who formed in 2007. Melt play a dark and moody style of music that incorporates elements of metal, punk, grunge, and indie rock within their sound. Musically, Melt can be loosely compared to bands such as Screaming Females, older Elder, Ancient Sky, Cargo Lift, Vera Bloom, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2007, Melt have released an eight song self-titled LP in December of 2017, a four song self-titled demo in December of 2019, a digital single titled Hellion in May of 2020, and a digital single titled Land in June of 2020. The Secret Teaching Of Sorrow is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Forbidden Place records on February 5th, 2021. On The Secret Teaching Of Sorrow, Melt offer up eleven tracks of melancholic, dark, and moody sounding metal, punk, grunge, and indie rock.
