Bailey Mason Lickers are a three piece band from Rochester, NY who formed in 2003. Bailey Mason Lickers features members of CHRMR, Sulaco, and Contrarian. Bailey Mason Lickers play a unique and intense style of music that melds instrumental progressive metal and post rock within their sound. Musically, I'm at a loss as far as comparisons mainly due to instrumental progressive metal not being my usual musical preference. With that being said, Bailey Mason Lickers may begin to change my opinion a bit as far as this genre of music is concerned. Taphonomy is Bailey Mason Lickers' latest full-length LP, which was released on November 4th, 2016. Taphonomy features nine tracks of instrumental post rock and progressive metal with enough twists, timing/tempo changes, and grooves to keep the listener engaged throughout throughout the entire listen. Overall, Taphonomy makes for a killer listen. Great stuff! Enjoy!
