Malsumis is a band from Anchorage, Alaska who formed in 2016, from the looks of things. Malsumis play a gritty, raw, and oppressive style of music that incorporates elements of black metal and doom within their sound. Since forming in 2016, Malsumis have released a two song EP titled Reh MMXVI in September of 2016. Spirit Decay is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released on cassette via Lycaean Triune records on May 16th, 2017. On Spirit Decay, Malsumis offer up six songs of raw, gritty, and visceral sounding black metal and doom. Overall, Spirit Decay makes for an awesome listen. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
