GUN MOB - Discography

I had never heard of Gun Mob until today. HOLY SHIT what have I been missing? This band fucking rules. They were a 5-piece crustcore band from Mannheim, Germany. Featuring 2 members of Planks, the band featured both male, and as you can see above, female vocals. Normally, female vocals bug the shit out of me but they are amazing here, I actually prefer them to the male vocals. For their farewell show a few weeks ago they made some DIY discography CDr's. It features 3 brand new songs, the songs from the split with Pyramido and their 2007 demo. If you're interested in getting a copy of the CDr, contact Planks at their Facebook page, they are selling them for 3,00Euros. Planks also put the discography up on their Bandcamp page to download for free or pay what you want. Download and stream it below, then go give them all your money. Spawning from the ashes of Santa Karla, along with Unholy Majesty, is Kent's HARROWED. As you can tell by my profile pic at the top right of this page, I like this band. A LOT. As Unholy Majesty has leaned towards a punk/metal approach, Harrowed has continued and expanded on the path that Santa Karla was headed towards, creating the ideal mixture of hardcore and crust. Full of intensity & ferocity, you can hear the band's potential in their 2 song demo cassette. And in every picture or video i've seen, it looks like the band is always just one step away from literally shoving their music down your throat. They've streamed one track from their LP that is set to be released any day now, and it doesn't disappoint, confirming it to be my most anticipated release this year, by far. Check them out. Now.

In late 2010, Santa Karla were moving towards more of a dirty sound, which can be heard when you listen to Harrowed. But Unholy Majesty frontman Daniel Duggan wanted something different, and what you get is a slightly more produced, refined sound that ends up somewhere along the lines of Cold Blood, Integrity, Ringworm & Rot In Hell. The band is currently in the process of working on an LP. There seem to be just a few of their debut 7 inches left, so hit the Merch link above if you like what you hear.

Santa Karla were a metallic hardcore band from Kent, UK. Formed in late 2006, they played their final show in August 2011. Members of the group have gone on to play in current bands Harrowed and Unholy Majesty. Santa Karla put out two CD's and two 7 inches. BONETHRONE is a brand new 2-piece hardcore/crust/punk/grindcore band from Dover, NH. Both members are also in another great band called ULTRA//NEGATIVE, also from NH. Bonethrone just spit out a 4-song demo for you to get whiplash from. Raw as fuck, super aggressive and mean as shit is what this demo sounds like, so it's just about perfect. Can't wait to hear more.

It was just announced that Denver's Of Feather And Bone has signed with Mind Melt Entertainment. They will have a new record out later this year. Go ahead and set aside some space on your computer or MP3 player because after you download their EP & Demo, you're going to be listening to it non-stop. False Healer is just about as devastating as 6 songs can get, a brutal barrage of dark hardcore full of crust and grind.

Klikk is a hardcore punk band with a healthy dose of crust from Reykjavik, Iceland that formed in 2009. That's about all I know about this band, other than their EP is pretty damn good. Damn, June 21st sucked. Both Host and Narratives had their last show on that day. I really love Host. Dark, mean, ROUGH around the edges crust hardcore. They were from Boston and formed in 2010. They released a demo on cassette, a 7" EP and a split 7" with KYOTY. The music, vocals and mixing for what was going to be their full-length LP is finished, but plans for a release are indefinite. FUCK.
