Mirror is a four piece band from Austin, Texas who formed in 2014, from the looks of things.  Mirror play an ugly, vicious, and scathing style of hardcore/punk.  Musically, Mirror can be loosely compared to bands such as Slices, Kim Phuc, The Lowest Form, Rash, Gag, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2014, Mirror have released a self-titled six song demo in April of 2015 and a six song EP titled Universal Dismay in July of 2016.  This is Mirror's second 7" which was released via Todos Destruido and Esos Malditios records on September 28th, 2020.  On their second 7", Mirror offer up five tracks of ugly, vicious, and scathing hardcore/punk.  Overall, Mirror's latest 7" makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Weedeater is a three piece band from Wilmington, North Carolina who formed in 1998.  Weedeater features members of Buzzoven, so going on that alone, you know you're in for something truly special.  Weedeater play a raw and ugly style of music that incorporates elements of doom, metal, sludge, and stoner metal within their sound,  Musically, Weedeater can be loosely compared to bands such as Eyehategod, Come To Grief, Junior Bruce, Sleep, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 1998, Weedeater have released a ten song LP titled Sixteen Tons in March of 2014, a ten song LP titled And Justice For Y'All in March of 2014, a nine song LP titled Good Luck And Godspeed in April Of 2014, a ten song LP titled Jason...The Dragon in December of 2014, and a ten song LP titled Goliathan in May of 2015.  Over the course of four albums, Weedeater offer up amazing raw and ugly swampy, sludgy doom and stoner metal.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!  Weedeater will be releasing a new full-length LP later this year, which is definitely an album that I'm really looking forward to!

Wow, I was really anticipating amazing things for the new collaborative LP from Louisville, singer/songwriter Emma Ruth Rundle and long running Louisiana based  doom/sludge band, Thou.  Let's just say that this album has totally blown my expectations out of the water and It's definitely safe to say that this album is definitely one of my favorites for 2020.  The Helm Of Sorrow features a flawless mix of dark and heavy early 90's grunge tinged doom and sludge.  On The Helm Of Sorrow, Emma Ruth Rundle and Thou offer up four collaborative tracks of dark and gloomy grunge-tinged doom and sludge.  Overall, The Helm Of Sorrow makes for an amazing record and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy.  May Our Chambers Be Full was released via Sacred Bones records on January 15th, 2021.
