Bedroom Wounds is a one person band from Louisville, Kentucky who began performing under the name Bedroom Wounds in 2016.  Bedroom Wounds play a dark, gloomy, and depressive style of music that incorporates elements of cold wave, goth, alt. rock, and grunge within their sound.  Musically, Bedroom Wounds can be loosely compared to bands such as Type O Negative, Bauhaus, Boy Harsher, Cold Cave, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2016, Bedroom Wounds have released a seven song self-titled LP in September of 2017.  Kink is the band's latest 12", which was released via Mind Over Matter records on February 28th, 2021.  On Kink, Bedroom Wounds offer up nine tracks of dark, gloomy, and depressive sounding cold wave, goth, alt. rock, and grunge.  Overall, Kink makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Fotocrime is the latest project of Ryan Patterson, the former front man of one of my favorite bands of the past decade or so, Coliseum.  Fotocrime play a dark and moody style of music that incorporates elements of post punk, cold wave, and death rock within their sound.  Musically, Fotocrime can be loosely compared to bands such as Night Sins, Joy Division, The Birthday Party, The Estranged, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in late 2016, Fotocrime have released a three song 7" titled Always Hell in May of 2017,  a six song EP titled Always Night in November of 2017, a ten song LP titled Principle Of Pain in May of 2018, and a ten song LP titled  South Of Heaven in March of 2020.  Living Outside Of Time is Fotocrime's latest EP, which was released on March 12th, 2021.  On Living Outside Of Heaven , Fotocrime offer up two tracks of dark, gloomy, and moody sounding post punk, cold wave, and death rock.  Overall, Living Outside Of Time makes for a awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Wow, I was really anticipating amazing things for the new collaborative LP from Louisville, singer/songwriter Emma Ruth Rundle and long running Louisiana based  doom/sludge band, Thou.  Let's just say that this album has totally blown my expectations out of the water and It's definitely safe to say that this album is definitely one of my favorites for 2020.  The Helm Of Sorrow features a flawless mix of dark and heavy early 90's grunge tinged doom and sludge.  On The Helm Of Sorrow, Emma Ruth Rundle and Thou offer up four collaborative tracks of dark and gloomy grunge-tinged doom and sludge.  Overall, The Helm Of Sorrow makes for an amazing record and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy.  May Our Chambers Be Full was released via Sacred Bones records on January 15th, 2021.

Shadow Snakes is a four piece band from Syracuse, New York and Louisville, Kentucky who formed in late 2017, from the looks of things.  I'm absolutely gushing about this band right now because Shadow Snakes is essentially comprised of 3/4 of the band Ed Gein and the lead singer from Breather Resist.  Going on that pedigree alone, you know you're in for some really amazing jams.  Shadow Snakes play an amazing style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, sludge, and noise rock within their sound.  Musically, Shadow Snakes can be loosely compared to bands such as Achilles, Engineer, Brain Banger, Suicide Note, Coalesce, Deadguy, Kiss It Goodbye, Bone Dance and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2017, Shadow Snakes have released a self-titled LP in August of 2018 and a four song EP titled Bad At Parties in October of 2019. Self Titled/Bad At Parties is the band's latest release which was released  via Cult Of Nine records and via The Ghost Is Clear records on December 13th, 2020.   Self Titled/Bad At Parties compiles both of Shadow Snakes LP and follow-up EP onto one album for your convenience. On Self Titled/Bad At Parties, Shadow Snakes offer up fifteen tracks of filthy, blown-out, and ultra negative sounding hardcore, punk, sludge, and noise rock.  Overall, Self Titled/Bad At Parties makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!
